I love live Christmas trees. Although, I guess technically they aren’t “live” anymore. Whatevs. I like the way they smell, and I like going to pick one out each year.
In other news, I am proud to announce that our Christmas cards have been ordered. Good grief, it is only December 16th. Once they ship, I will have 24 hours to address them and get them in the mail so they will arrive by Christmas. Time. To. Kill.
But seriously, will someone please remind me to get on this a little earlier next year? Like in July. I am working with a couple of clowns and could use the extra time.
All this card stress makes me want to stick my face in a bowl of melty chocolate. Speaking of, here’s a recipe for a super simple and sinfully delicious chocolate dessert. My recipe card is titled “Death by Chocolate.” You could also call it “Brownie Toffee Trifle” or “Butt Enlarger”. Whatever you call it, it is fanfreakingtastic. Here goes…
Bake one box of Pillsbury (family size) fudge brownie mix, according to directions.
While the brownies are baking, make two small boxes (or one large) of fat free/ sugar free instant chocolate pudding.
Once the brownies have baked and cooled, cut them into one inch squares.
Next, add a layer of the brownies to the bottom of a trifle dish (or a trifling dish if it’s been up to no good). After the brownies, add a layer of pudding. Now this is where the magic happens… add a layer of Heath bar bits (in the grocery section with chocolate chips) or crushed Skor bars.
Top that layer off with Cool Whip. Repeat the layers and add a few more of the Heath pieces to the top.
Keep it refrigerated until you are ready to serve. The longer it sits in the fridge, the more delicious it becomes. How easy is that?
